I WAS READING SOME MORE OF ONE OF MY FAVORITE HOMESCHOOL AUTHORS, "SALLY CLARKSON". SHE HAS INSPIRED ME TO GET DOWN AND GET BUSY WITH THE KIDS, AND TO SACRIFICE MY TIME FOR THE CHILDRENS SAKE. I HAVE IMPLEMENTED ALOT OF HER PHILOSOPHY INTO MY HOME. SUCH AS READING OUT LOUD, SETTING UP LEARNING STATIONS THROUGHOUT THE HOUSE SUCH AS AUDIO TAPE TIME, READING CORNER, AND PUZZLE TIME.
I FOUND THE MOST COLORFUL MAPS AT WAL-MART. THEY ARE ONE YARD OF MATERIAL. THE CHEAPEST YET. I DICIDED WITH THE INSPIRATION OF A FRIEND TO START PUTTING THINGS UP AROUND THE HOUSE. I LOVE TO DECORATE, AND I HATE CLUTTER. BUT THE KIDS HAVE BEEN LACKING IN THE AREA OF HANDS ON LEARNING. SO I WRECKLESSLY PULLED EVERYTHING OUT OF MY SMALL CLOSET AND SET IT ALL UP AROUND MY APARTMENT TO MAKE MY LITTLE CORNERS MORE VIBRANT AND INVITING. I STILL CANT WAIT TO PUT UP AN ALPHABET THAT MY FRIEND PUT UP FOR HER CHILDREN . ITS WAY COOL.
I WAS ALSO GETTING TIRED OF MY COLAGES SITTING IN PLACES WHERE NONE CAN SEE THEM. SO I PUT THEM UP IN THE DINNING ROOM SO THAT WE CAN LAUGH AND REMEMBER THE FUN TIMES THAT WE HAD. I WANT TO DO MORE EVENTIALLY. WELL ENOUGH FOR NOW.

We have so much to teach our children: moral standards, an understanding of God’s character, Bible stories, manners – the list goes on and on. Yes, there is a battle for our children’s souls. Yes, there are habits of godly character we need to form in them. Yes, there is so much work to be done; we have to realize that there is something much more important to the Lord. God wants us to enjoy Him, His creation, and His love. He wants us to lead our children into celebrating life with Him and taking time to notice the beauty He has provided each and every day. He wants us to revel in His goodness and love.”
