Since our citizenship is in heaven, planet earth is really not our home. For us, it is foreign soil. We are citizens of another realm. We belong to the kingdom of God. Consequently, we need to be on our best behavior; otherwise, people will get a distorted perception of what our homeland is like. As a result of our behavior, they will be attracted to or repelled by heaven, the place we call home.

By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. John 13:35
