EASTER WEEK!

Ezekiels Art Work

Read the Triumphant entry to your children in John Chapter 12. It's never to late. Even though Palm Sunday has passed, type in the BING search bar for free Palm Sunday coloring pages. Make a palm leaf into a cross, or use a real Palm leaf and glue it to whatever you want.

Trinity's Artwork

Matzo Ball soup is SO yummy, and very easy to make. Why not make it on Passover? Just buy the box from the grocery store and explain why Jesus is the bread of life, has no sin, or gave up His body broken for us. Read scripture or write it down for the family to see the significance of unleavened bread.

Some of the decorations around our home represent the meaning of the cross. This is a homemade birthday present from a friend who stayed up hours (into the early morning) making this for me. It's a beautiful reminder of sacrifice.

This is a prayer box that a friend blessed me with. Every time I look at this box, I'm reminded that Jesus was left alone in the Garden of Gethsemane to pray. "O My Father, if it is possible let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will." Excerpt from Chuck Smith says; If what is possible? If salvation and redemption can come in any other way. If man can be saved by any other method-by being good,by being religious,by being sincere-then let this cup pass from Me. If it were possible for man to be saved in any other way,Jesus would not have gone to the cross.People sometimes take offence that we teach that Jesus is the only way. But His death was the only way; so He prayed, in beautiful submission to the Father, "Not as I will, but as You will." The Word For Today Bible Footnote By Chuck Smith.

For Indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us. Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. 1 Cor. 5:6

The Lamb Of God who takes away the sin of the world. John 1:29. Just as the lambs without blemish were killed during the Passover in Egypt. Our Saviour Jesus is the lamb that was killed on a cross for our sins. He is the ultimate sacrifice who paid for sin once and for all. Hebrews 7:27 states this truth. Jesus paid the price. Just put a stamp on it and say PAID IN FULL with the blood of the Lamb. Yet the only way to have the redemption, is to accept the Lamb. God's only Son.

מָשִׁיחַ

mä·shē'·akh

anointed one, Messianic prince, the king of Israel, the high priest of Israel

Know therefore and understand that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and three score and two weeks the street shall be built again , and the wall , even in troubled times.

Jesus = "Jehovah is salvation"

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Gabe had the most awesome opportunity to witness this truth right smack dab in the heart of the Holy City. "Lucky Guy"!

And he saith unto them, Be not frighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.
Now when [Jesus] was risen early the first [day] of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.
And if Christ be not risen, then [is] our preaching vain, and your faith [is] also vain.

And Christ lives within you, so even though your body will die because of sin, the Spirit gives you life because you have been made right with God.

The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.

One of our favorite Easter books that I found at the thrift store. This children's book is very accurate and colorful.

We've had this book for quite some time. We use this one as a narrative for simple plays, while we record lasting memories. I also stuck a palm branch in my vase for decoration

I found this in the free box outside the home school office. It's fun, and  inner active. We also have the cartoon on VHS. You never know what you can find at the thrift stores around Easter
(meaning: look for The New Beginners Bible Movies).

On Passover, we will use this yummy juice to teach about the cup of wine that Jesus gave to His disciples. We're also going to do a foot washing ceremony (In The Bath Tub of course).

I did make the matzo ball soup. And heads up...use water and not broth to boil your soup because the matzo balls are already salty enough. Also, if you can see inside the pan... they expand, so make sure you add extra water as needed.

Use your white boards to remind everyone about easter scriptures. Talk about what Hosanna means, and sing songs with the theme. We read a commentary that shared about where the symbol of the palm branches came from, and why the people shouted Hosanna. look it up at the link below.

The Promise Land. This is where it all happened. Boy would it be a HUGE blessing and honor if I had the chance to go there and see it all for myself, and experience the Bible in real life. The Holy Land.

I will bring them back home to their own land of Israel from among the peoples and nations. I will feed them on the mountains of Israel and by the rivers and in all the places where people live

On Saturday Elias fell and almost broke His nose. It was a miracle that he didn't because our oak chairs are very heavy. In fact, Gabe laid himself down on the ground with one of the chairs on top of his face, and had concluded that not only did it hurt real bad, but God also spared his little life. So as I look at the bruise on my little sons face, I am reminded that Jesus...God's only begotten Son, was bruised for me, and our Little Elias. God Gave up His Son to die for a Christ rejecting world. Would I do that for my Son... give his life up for a bunch of people who hate His only Son?

Isaiah 53 says: Who has believed our message? To whom has the LORD revealed his powerful arm?

My servant grew up in the LORD's presence like a tender green shoot, like a root in dry ground. There was nothing beautiful or majestic about his appearance, nothing to attract us to him.

He was despised and rejected-- a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way. He was despised, and we did not care.

Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins!

But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.

All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God's paths to follow our own. Yet the LORD laid on him the sins of us all.

He was oppressed and treated harshly, yet he never said a word. He was led like a lamb to the slaughter. And as a sheep is silent before the shearers, he did not open his mouth.

Unjustly condemned, he was led away. No one cared that he died without descendants, that his life was cut short in midstream. But he was struck down for the rebellion of my people.

He had done no wrong and had never deceived anyone. But he was buried like a criminal; he was put in a rich man's grave.

But it was the LORD's good plan to crush him and cause him grief. Yet when his life is made an offering for sin, he will have many descendants. He will enjoy a long life, and the LORD's good plan will prosper in his hands.

When he sees all that is accomplished by his anguish, he will be satisfied. And because of his experience, my righteous servant will make it possible for many to be counted righteous, for he will bear all their sins.

I will give him the honors of a victorious soldier, because he exposed himself to death. He was counted among the rebels. He bore the sins of many and interceded for rebels.

A couple of movies we enjoy around easter time. get out your Easter movie list and start watching.
