Have You Ever Read The Bottom Of An In-N-Out Cup?

I've been thinking lately. . . . there are a lot of young people out there that are thirsting; for sex, drugs, fame, money, etc. All of it has a huge price tag attached: its called death. But Gods gift is eternal life through His Son Jesus. So why do they not see that eternity is more important than a cheap scapegoat into the destructive plot of Satan and his desire to destroy humanity. The void in the hearts of our youth are screaming for attention, they get a rush off of any little thing. They are lonely and oppressed, depressed and defeated by the pain and sufferings of this life. The baby boomers tried to provide in the material realm for their children, and in the process of teaching about tolerance and ambition, managed to instill a mentality that says in the name of independence you can walk over everyone as you fight your way to the top, even if it means hurting the innocent. Even the unborn. Now their grandchildren are being titled the "I" generation. It's all about me, myself, and I.

What has happened is that every significant holiday is an excuse to get smashed. America's swimming in the sea of booze, as a nation we are drowning ourselves and our children. So many teens dying early for hanging out with the crowd they were forced to chose because they were afraid to be themselves for fear of being different. Instead they identified them self with the stoners, goths, jocks, preps, mall rats . . . fill in the blanks conforming into an image they don't even understand so that they wouldn't feel rejected. Then because mom and dad are too busy at work, they are left alone at home all day after school to be indoctrinated by the values of TV and the internet. TV (even their schools for that matter) say just put a condom on and live it up, just try it once and you'll be cool. You're gonna make it if you try, they're gonna love you.

Time passes, mom and dad realise they don't know each other and get divorced and it's time for little Susie or Bobby to graduate. There's no hope that mom and dad will be there together, so maybe after grad night me and the buddies or girlfriends can go on a beer run. What do ya know, there's a liquor store down the street that will take a wad of cash from a bunch of stupid kids ready to eat, drink, and be merry. Little Susie gets pregnant that night. She decides to terminate the baby the next week. For the rest of her life every time she hears a baby cry, she hurts inside. She wanted her wedding night to be special, but it was void of purity and excitement. Little Bobby never makes it home, because while hanging out with his buddies they smash their truck into a mini van that was coming home from a family dinner. Bobby ends up in the hospital paralyzed from the waist down. The friend that was driving ends up in jail for vehicular manslaughter. This wasn't supposed to happen to them. They were supposed to go to college, and be a ________ and make lots of money and be something. Or so they think . . .

Who can we turn to for help? There's only one person who can change our lives. His name is Jesus. He will restore all that was lost. I love it when Jesus said "What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world, yet loses his own soul?" What is of real value in all the riches that the world can offer today? What can be better than eternity with the one who created heaven and earth? There truly is nothing new under the sun: every kid thinks that they are the first to discover rock and roll. They think that sex is the best thing since peanut butter & jelly, and they believe that they can live forever without a thought about God. They believe they can get into the big party in heaven like all their favorite rock stars did, or maybe just scoot in with a religious ticket that grandma or mommy paid for.
Religion cant buy anyone salvation from hell, no more than sleeping in a garage will make you a Mercedes. Jesus died on the cross for us; the sinners, the losers, the scum of the earth. He came down from heaven to die a horrible death on a cross, and he did it for EVERY ONE OF US!! Why you ask? I didn't ask him to do that! It's because he loves you and wants you to be delivered from the grip of Satan, that serpent of old, the craftiest liar ever. If you have questions its ok, you don't have to check your brain at the door of Christ. He can answer any of them if they are asked from a sincere heart. Once He has revealed Himself, He will call us to walk out on the water and have a real relationship with Him. He will ask us to TRUST Him, and believe that He is REAL and that he is GOOD. If not, then this life is lived in vain, and you might as well live it up because in the end what's the point. Take Jesus at His Word. Just believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and confess with your mouth that Jesus is LORD, and you will be saved. Don't forget this when your troubles come because I guarantee one day they will, and the only one that will help is JESUS CHRIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear God,

Thank you for letting me vent. My desire is to see young people delivered from Satan's grip. Use me, and Gabe to make a difference and to revolutionize this generation for the glory of God almighty.

In Jesus name,
AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Nettie! I left you a comment on your nook at The Homeschool Lounge, but just wanted to say hello here as well! I'm eager to hear if you are the girl that I went to school with! That would be so neat!
