How Do You Measure Success In Your Life?

My first blog award!! From Laura. Here are the "to-do's" that accompany this award:

1.) Say something nice to the man in your life.

Dearest Gabe,

Right now you are down stairs doing the dishes and talking about the bible with our son (who should be in bed, but I see that he is milking the clock in the name of bible conversation). You take it upon yourself to do the laundry and other house-hold duties. I am so amazed that you have such an affectionate love for our boys, and you adore our little girl. I would have never imagined that we would have the privilege to raise four children together. Giving them baths, reading them their bible stories at night, and praying for them has made a huge difference in their lives. May God continue to be your strength as you serve our family with an unconditional, sacrificial love. May your reward be found in the treasures stored in heaven.

Love,
Mrs. Jannette

2.) List at least 6 ways you measure success in your life.

1. By having a humble attitude, Especially before God. God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble James 4. Pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall. Prov. 16:18. People in life that are puffed up with pride and arrogance never get far in life. They will not depend on God because they don't have a submissive heart. Or yeilding spirit.

2. Realize that everything that you have comes from God. Be content with what He has blessed you with. Count your blessings and stop grumbling about what you don't have. And quit being negative and criticle about others, your own life, or life in general. You will be successful to not fall into many traps if you follow this principal in life.

3. Be a prayer warrior (this should be #1). Prayer is where the power is at. I have seen God move in mighty ways just by one simple prayer. Prayer also changes me and makes me more like Jesus. God will prove successful on your behalf if you apply this principal to your life.

4. Be an example in word, conduct,Love,Spirit, faith, and purity. Let your yes mean yes and no mean no. make sure that there is integrity in your words. Be a doer of Gods Word. Don't say one thing and live differently. People can tell if you are the real deal or not. If you say you are a believer in Jesus, then your conduct will prove it to the most Innocent bystander's. Love your neighbor as yourself. But you can't fulfill that unless you are loving God with all your heart. Let God's spirit control your life. Show that faith is working in your life by taking steps that are out of your comfort zone. And keep your mind and thought life pure. Quit watching all that(excuse my righteous anger) DUNG!! on TV, that only influences you for evil. You will be a successful influence for good if you apply this principal to your life.

5. Having a heart of compassion, and forgiveness. When you see someone in need or hurt. Don't turn a blind eye. Help them out. Don't walk away thanking God that you didn't get the raw end of the deal, or short end of the stick. Unforgiving is a bitterness of heart that will eat you up inside and make you sick outside. If Jesus can die on the cross for a bunch of sinners who spit on Him, and mocked Him as he died. And if Jesus can save the worst of criminals, and if He is willing to die for me, then how much more should I be willing to forgive someone of a fault when I know that they are only human. You will have a successful marriage, friendships, and relationships, if you apply this God given principal to your life.

6. To know that I am only successful in life because of Jesus Christ and all He has done for me.
