First Day Of School

Our first day home schooling was fun for the boys. I was exhausted by the time we were fin. Ezekiel would homeschool all day and night if we had the energy to do it. Calvin has more questions than my brain can store.

Calvin's day:

We are reading the Calvary Chapel Missions magazine for a devotional.

For his bible study we are reading through the book of Esther and learning how to cross reference, look up questions of interest in our commentaries, take notes, underline scriptures that speak to his heart, and read about the history of the Persian Empire. Calvin also drew out a picture of what he envision the kings palace to look like. He wants to make a movie now. He said that there are no good Esther movies out.

We then move into our Math, which we are currently reviewing from last year. He seems to have retained most of it.

Then grammer which he forgot, but as we review it comes fast to him.

Spelling is just spelling out misspelled words five times each.

I allowed Cal and Zeek to mess around on the NASA FOR KIDS WEB SITE.

And Calvin read October Treasure to me while I slept.

Ezekiel's day:

Read a Bible Story for a Devotional. Very Colorful and big.

Color a Bible picture While listening to kids worship music. (My goal is to have him do the Devo, coloring pages, and watch a short Bible movie all the same subject.)

Practice writing letters on the white board.

Cut out letters and stick them around the house on objects that make the sound of the letters.

Write numbers.

I had him practice his name.

Calvin and I  did a Bunny play, now he sleeps with the bunnies every night.

NASA WITH Cal.

Trinity's Day:

Color a picture.

Read books. She says,"I can read!!"

Erase everything Ezekiel try's to do.

She says a-e-i-o-u.

She basically follows the boys around wanting to do everything that they do.
