Mommy Dearest.

I still believe that a mom has the most challenging job, yet rewarding. And aside from what this lady sang,  as Christian mom's we sing a different song. We sing hymns to our Children which are all of the wonderful precepts of Gods word (Deuteronomy 6). Diligent correction with love brings balance to our children's lives so that when they go out of the nest they are ready to fly, but not just fly..... sore like an eagles. But if you only nag, then yes they will despise correction from you and authority. So bring a balance by sharing Gods love with diligent discipline. They need to honor and respect their parents so that they honor and respect others and God.

 

P.S. Remember; a child that wants to touch a stove needs to be corrected,or one that wants to run in the street.

Discipline your children while there is hope. If you don't, you will ruin their lives.

Pro 29:15

The rod and reproof give wisdom, But a child who gets his own way brings shame to his mother. Pro 3:12   For the Lord corrects those he loves, just as a father corrects a child in whom he delights. Pro 1:8   Listen, my child, to what your father teaches you. Don't neglect your mother's teaching. Pro 1:9   What you learn from them will crown you with grace and clothe you with honor. Pro 3:11   My child, don't ignore it when the Lord disciplines you, and don't be discouraged when he corrects you.     Deu 6:4   "Hear, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. Deu 6:5   And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. Deu 6:6   And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands I am giving you today. Deu 6:7   Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are away on a journey, when you are lying down and when you are getting up again. Deu 6:8   Tie them to your hands as a reminder, and wear them on your forehead. Deu 6:9   Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.
